Pediatric Intensivist - AdventHealth for Children
Overview AdventHealth for Children is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing team. We have an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a pediatric residency program with twelve residents per year, and clinical research opportunities. AdventHealth also has a 22‑bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure and physician staff.

Practice Description This employment opportunity includes call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence‑based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, a 403(b) retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and a relocation allowance. This practice is part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of AdventHealth that employs over 600 physicians in more than 60 specialties.
Hospital Description Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 35 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed NICU, a 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open‑heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including a level IV epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid‑organ transplants (kidney and liver), and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our network consists of 28 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center, totaling over 15,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs, including outreach clinics. In 2019 AdventHealth for Children was recognized by US News and World Report as the best children’s hospital for newborn care in Florida; it is also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top children’s hospital for quality and safety, and it has a magnet designation for nursing care.

Orlando is a vibrant city with world‑class attractions including Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, and numerous beaches.
