Principal Solutions Engineer – Risk Analytics SimCorp invites you to apply for the Principal Solutions Engineer – Risk Analytics position with our Americas Solution Engineering Team.

Why This Role Is Important To Us The PreSales team focuses on the quantitative parts of the investment process, covering risk, performance attribution, and portfolio optimization. As a key subject‑matter expert in multi‑asset class risk, you will work with clients and prospects, presenting our risk solutions, demoing the software, explaining the risk modeling, and collecting feedback for product improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide subject‑matter expertise on multi‑asset class investment risk analytics, including ex‑ante risk, tracking error, stress testing, and single‑security analytics.

Demonstrate the Axioma risk analytics tool and explain underlying modelling assumptions.

Gather requirements and address objections with prospects.

Support sales through discovery, RFP, demo, and proof of concept activities.

Collaborate with the product team to incorporate prospect feedback and enhance the product.

Qualifications

Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, finance, econometrics, financial engineering, or operations research.

7+ years of experience in quantitative finance.

Knowledge of risk analytics used at buy‑side firms—hedge funds, asset owners, and asset managers.

Professional designations such as CFA or FRM are valued.

Familiarity with APIs (Java, Python, R, Webservices, Matlab) is a plus.

Strong presentation skills for complex analytical or technical frameworks.

Strong problem‑solving skills and a persistence with perfection.

Willingness to travel as required.

Ability to work in the office 2‑3 days a week per our hybrid policy.

Salary (New York City Only) $174,000 – $220,000 USD annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans.
