As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.

Master’s Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities:

Define clear entry/exit and acceptance quality criteria to objectively evaluate the quality of process and products.

Facilitate the review process by organizing review sessions, consolidating feedback, and following up on action points.

Promote continuous improvement by making recommendations through regular reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Plan key quality assurance milestones and activities such as work product reviews, risk assessment, verifications and validations.

Provide direction and guidance to the team to ensure accurate risk assessment evaluation of all ongoing activities with respect to quality.

Review ongoing process change and project qualification with team members.

Lead the team discussion of complex qualification and evaluation requirements, analysis of failure mode, root cause and corrective action investigations.

Half‑yearly review of team members’ performance and skill‑set capability to determine training needs and review team structure for succession planning.

Education / Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree in Quality Engineering, Materials, Electronics, Electrical or Quality Assurance Engineering is desired, or equivalent.

Experience in high‑volume manufacturing of electronics components in an MNC or semiconductor industry.

Strong technical competencies in the field of study.

Ability to work under pressure and with strong commitment at work.

Good knowledge of statistical and quality tools.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

Strong organizational, leadership, communications and interpersonal skills.

Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and capability to apply them effectively at work.

Manage changes effectively.

Systematic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills using cause‑effect, 5‑whys analysis, etc.

Application of quality and SPC tools at work – FMEA, DOE, SPC, etc.
