Location: Lufkin, Texas.
HIET, established in 1982, is a premier cardiology practice serving the East Texas community. We are expanding into six new communities, offering nine new ancillary services, and opening a brand-new 9,000‑sq‑ft facility in Lufkin that includes:
Vein & Vascular services
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) management
Wellness programs
Anticoagulation services
And much more
We are seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing practice. The role provides an exceptional opportunity to practice in a supportive, collaborative, and technologically advanced environment within a well‑established physician‑led group. You will play a vital role in delivering cutting‑edge interventional cardiology services to a large and expanding patient base and may become a partner in the practice.
Responsibilities & Practice Details
Perform a full range of interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow‑up care.
Participate in on‑call coverage for interventional cardiology services.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Actively contribute to the growth and development of HIET’s interventional cardiology program.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Potential for academic affiliation and involvement in research opportunities through our extensive network.
Teaching and committee opportunities are available for interested candidates.

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
Unrestricted Texas medical license (or eligible to obtain).

Ability to thrive in a growing and dynamic practice environment.
Ability to sponsor J1/H1B visas.
Where You’ll Work Your primary base will be our brand-new, state‑of‑the‑art 9,000‑sq‑ft facility in Lufkin, a hub dedicated to comprehensive cardiovascular care. You’ll practice within a technologically advanced environment, seeing patients from Lufkin and our six expanding satellite communities across East Texas. Our facilities are designed for optimal patient comfort and physician efficiency, equipped with the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies to support your interventional skills. You’ll work within a practice that continues to invest in its infrastructure and services to remain at the forefront of cardiology.
