Job Description

What you’ll do:
Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
Daily Pay Range: Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.
Paid training hours and professional development opportunities (variable by state)
Weekly paychecks via direct deposit
Hired as a W-2 employee so no worrying about withholding your own taxes
Reimbursement for expenses related to state and federal background checks
401k enrollment after meeting eligibility requirements
Referral Program: Refer friends to sub with Scoot - after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards
What We’re Looking For:
Valid RBT Certification
Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities
At least 1 year experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR
At least 1 year year in a classroom /education setting
Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
State & federal background checks
You’ll stand out if you have:
Any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
