Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary This role is for a Senior Data Analyst in McLean, VA, offering a contract of over 6 months at $45.00 – $47.00 per hour. Requires 8+ years of experience, strong SQL skills, and expertise in mortgage and securitization domains.

Responsibilities

Lead-level experience capable of guiding workstreams, mentoring team members, and partnering closely with stakeholders.

Strong hands‑on experience in mortgage and securitization domains.

Strong SQL skills and experience working in Agile environments (user stories, Jira, sprint/backlog management).

Comfortable with command‑line tools, including running Python scripts and analyzing system logs.

Strong analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights.

Partner with business and technology teams to build scalable data platforms.

Perform exploratory analysis, identify advanced analytics opportunities (ML, NLP, automation), and support project delivery through close collaboration.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in business and data analysis.

Mortgage domain expertise is mandatory, with exposure to securitization.

Proficiency with SQL and command‑line tools.

Experience with Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical skills.
