The Director of Media Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth across Better Collective’s U.S. media brands. The role focuses on developing and closing branded content deals, building long-term partnerships, and packaging commercial programs across digital, social, creator-led, video, and audio formats.
This position is suited for a commercially driven seller who can identify opportunities, pitch effectively, and manage a strong pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Develop and close new business across PlaymakerHQ, Action Network, and The Nation Network. Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and branded content deals. Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close media and creator-led campaigns. Client & Agency Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with brands and agencies. Manage a structured territory and revenue pipeline with CRM discipline. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with internal teams across content, production, talent, and marketing. Package compelling commercial programs tailored to client needs. Candidate Requirements
Mandatory
7+ years of experience in media sales, partnerships, digital advertising, sponsorships, or sports entertainment sales. Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline. Experience selling digital media, social content, and creator-driven campaigns. Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proven track record of closing deals. Nice-to-Have
Existing brand and agency relationships in sports, entertainment, lifestyle, gaming, or CPG categories. Team

For candidates based in New York: Base salary:
