OB Laborist / OB Hospitalist
Location: Renton, Washington
Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time (FTE)
OB Laborists to support 24/7 coverage on Labor & Delivery and further strengthen perinatal safety at the birthing center in Renton, WA. These physicians focus exclusively on in‑hospital obstetric care with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Position Highlights Direct hire, full‑time OB Laborist role in Renton, WA.
In‑house presence on L&D to manage laboring patients, obstetric triage, and emergencies.
Close collaboration with MFMs, OB/GYNs, CNMs, and Family Medicine providers.
Emphasis on patient safety, rapid response, and team‑based care.
Clinical Scope
Management of low‑ and high‑risk laboring patients and obstetric emergencies (e.g., hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia).
Inpatient consultations, OB triage, and coverage for unassigned patients.
Participation in cesarean deliveries, VBAC management, and surgical assists as needed.
Role in perinatal quality improvement, safety drills, and unit protocols.
Schedule Blocked shifts providing predictable work–life balance; mix of days and nights to be discussed.
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
Washington medical license (or ability to obtain) and DEA.
Prior OB hospitalist / laborist experience preferred but not required for strong candidates.
