HOSPITALIST PHYSICIAN – Aberdeen and Bel Air, MD
University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen. Part of the University of Maryland Medical System. Average 15 patients/day. Closed ICU; team not expected to perform procedures or run codes. Staffing model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs. EMR: EPIC. Beds 257. Trauma Level II. Board certified/eligible in internal or family medicine. Responsibilities
Rounds, admissions, discharges, daily multidisciplinary rounds, geographic rounds. Participant in rapid response and code team. Swing shift rotation covers admissions and new consults during the day. Qualifications
Board eligible or board certified in Internal or Family Medicine. Strong inpatient skill set. Quality-focused team player. Experience working with advanced practice providers. Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Effective oral and written communication skills. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, ACLS. Benefits
