Summary: Based in Andover, MA, the Manufacturing Technician will perform the essential job functions and is responsible for performing controlled process steps for the assembly and filling of customer products and capsules. Working under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the technician ensures customer specifications are met by following job orders, routing cards, drawings, and work instructions. Support for team members may be required as needed.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
- Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools, and a variety of machine shop equipment and hand tools.
- Responsible for all equipment, supplies, and inventories associated with the department and machine shop.
- Maintain daily communication with management to review the priorities set forth within the department.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Estimates material and labor and recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
- Follow the established work procedures and control measures (including the use of PPE where issued) and any applicable SHE rules.
- Suggest and support areas for improvement to their manager.
- Support their fellow employees, contractors, and visitors to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and to care for the environment.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a machine shop and understanding of basic math skills.
- Specialized knowledge should include the operation of drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools, and a variety of hand tools.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.

- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Regularly exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
- Ability to use power tools and equipment, including plasma cutter, torch, grinder, air tools, crimping guns, and other shop tools.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
