This requisition supports full-time entry level opportunities within the Nashville BU beginning January 2025 through October 2025. Specific opportunities will be related to active and ongoing work available in the Nashville, TN area and remote project assignments throughout our region. Candidate assignments will be finalized one month prior to the anticipated start date. Field Engineer – Position Description

The Field Engineer will be assigned to the field operations team and assist in obtaining, evaluating and coordinating all information needed to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents and to assure that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible. The Field Engineer shall protect and promote the interest of Turner. Reports To:

Project Superintendent or Superintendents Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required. Assist in the implementation of the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Maintain contract documents and electronic web‑based field operation documents. Prepare Daily Construction Reports (DCR’s). Review all work as it is being placed to ensure accuracy within accepted tolerances. Review contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation. Prepare project as‑builts. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications for a Field Engineer

Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction or relevant education. Building construction, engineering or equivalent experience preferred. Good interpersonal skills, desire to learn, ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Proficient with computer applications. A basic understanding of scheduling programs preferred. Engineering Assistant – Position Description

The Engineering Assistant is involved in engineering and administration of projects within the Special Projects Division (SPD) or other Business Unit departments. Reports to:

Project Engineer or Engineer Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing shop drawings, product data, and samples and assist in communication of information across all levels of the project team. Assist in managing communication including submission and responses for Requests for Information (RFI’s). Assist in preparing estimates for changes in work including review of Change Order requests from subcontractors. Study contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation. Assist in maintaining and updating contract documents, electronic web‑based documents, and project logs. Distribute information required for construction to appropriate parties. Assist Engineering to ensure materials and equipment are released for fabrication or manufacture in time to meet construction schedule. Assist in preparation of final records for project including close‑out documents, Operations/Maintenance (OM) Manuals, and other related documentation. Qualifications for an Engineering Assistant

Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction or relevant education and/or a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Building construction, engineering or equivalent experience preferred. Knowledge of general contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications also desirable. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, desire to learn, ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Proficient with computer applications as required to perform responsibilities. Physical Demands and Work Environment

Performing the duties of this job requires the employee to sit, use hands, reach, stand, walk, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and in some instances lift up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly work on‑site at the construction work site and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate to very loud.
