Position Summary:
The Technician fulfills a critical role in providing data that is essential to the doctor to deliver proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting doctors during exams. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met while executing specific responsibilities that enhance the patient experience and communication.
What We Offer
Starting wage of $14–$15 per hour based on previous experience
6.5 paid holidays per year
Approximately 10 days of PTO in the first year

Essential Responsibilities
Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of preliminary testing procedures.
Perform all preliminary and any doctor‑requested tests on all patients.
Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow, communicating delays.
Prepare the exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
Provide a safe, clean, organized, and inviting environment for patients and staff.
Perform other duties as determined by the office manager or team lead and doctor(s).
Physical Demands (per ADA Guidelines)
Standing for sustained periods of time, stooping, grasping, lifting, talking, hearing.
Light work: lift up to 15 lbs from floor to waist, 5 lbs from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs from shoulder to overhead.
Visual acuity required to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
