What You Will Be Doing
Support sourcing plan for components and systems according to cross‑functional time plans
Support supplier selection process, securing that they comply with Volvo's targets, budgets, and timelines
Secure all standard/specific agreements with suppliers
Manage sourcing activities in project phase with support of the Group Manager
Manage Commodity activities with supplier, cost savings, pricing and contracts
Secure MCL saving targets for the commodity
Support Manufacturing plant requirements with suppliers
Challenge, negotiate, secure, and report fulfillment of project targets in terms of Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) targets during sourcing and project/industrialization phases
Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in the project phase and duration of the contract to the end of production of the commodity
Ensure that suppliers are prepared for production, including capacity and all needed system updates
Manage Project Performance Reviews with suppliers and stakeholders
Conduct top suppliers commodity executive reviews
Provide input on Supplier Project Performance to the Manager
Manage parts and orders in project phase
Who You Are
6+ years of strategic purchasing (e.g. end‑to‑end supplier relationship management, sourcing, negotiations, contracts)
Experience with Electrical and/or Batteries segments, from within the automotive industry
Proven negotiation and communication skills
Strong business acumen, agile in way of working
Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, Business Administration or similar, or equivalent working experience
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
