Overview Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a nonprofit founded in 1943, has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Program Director to support the administrative and clinical operations of our Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Program across our dually licensed OASAS/OMH CCBHC clinics.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with a starting salary range of $80,000 to $90,000. The work location is flexible and can be based out of our Hartsdale, Yonkers, or Mt. Vernon clinics.
Responsibilities
Promote WJCS’ Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Program to ensure consistent referrals and full program capacity.
Conduct trainings and informational workshops for staff and the community.
Monitor and coordinate client admissions and discharges, ensuring program responsiveness, timely program enrollment, and capacity; respond to and track service inquiries from clients, families, hospitals, providers, and community partners.
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff, including monitoring and managing staff productivity.
Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and reporting in compliance with agency and regulatory standards (OMH, OASAS, SAMHSA) and grant deliverables.
Assist in hiring, training, and supervising clinicians and other team members delivering evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
Co‑lead team and consultation meetings for OASAS, Encompass, and school‑based Encompass programs.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements (CCBHC, OMH, OASAS, CMS, SAMHSA).
Serve as a liaison with community, government, and social service partners.
Assist in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures in collaboration with agency staff.
Deliver individual, family, and group therapy services.
Requirements
Active and valid NYS LCSW or LMHC. Preference for candidates with an active and valid CASAC.
Minimum of three years clinical experience working with clients and their families around substance use and mental health concerns.
Deep understanding of and commitment to comprehensive evidence‑based best practices to assist individuals with substance use and co‑occurring mental health concerns.
Preference for candidates with administrative and/or supervisory experience, including experience with public speaking.
