Senior Software Test and Evaluation Integrator Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD (Onsite). Pay: $75–$85 per hour (W2).

Contract‑to‑hire

opportunity; candidates must be willing to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE after the contract period.

Description The Software Test and Evaluation Integrator assists the Project Manager in managing, monitoring, coordinating, planning, and developing software test & evaluation (T&E) activities and documentation.

Responsibilities

Use knowledge of policies, regulations, and procedures governing SW T&E to assist project leaders in planning, coordinating, and executing SW T&E.

Integrate DoDI 5000.87, DoD best practices, Army policies, and commercial best practices to develop agile SW testing strategies and test plans (hard requirement).

Provide SW Test input to program T&E documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and Test and Evaluation Strategies.

Provide SW Test input to the Capability Development process such as the Capability Needs Statement (CNS) and provide PM input to defining the SW roadmap to capabilities which may become the MVP and MVCR.

Participate in SW requirements decomposition and traceability engineering with the PM’s SW and Systems Engineering teams, ensuring contractual requirements and test coverage.

Interact with vendor SW development teams to ensure integration of vendor testing in the SW development process; conduct SW backlog reviews; participate in vendor SW sprint planning and retrospectives; review vendor SW documentation deliverables.

Provide input and review performance work statements and other government documents used in the contractual process with prime SW vendors.

Develop SW test threads and test procedures for executing government system‑level SW testing in laboratory and field test environments; contribute to government test plan development.

Develop working knowledge of SW products and competencies to execute testing in the SW environment.

Collect SW test results and produce reports containing results and metrics to inform future SW development and other PM functions such as SW quality management.

Collaborate with Hardware team to ensure seamless integration of program HW and SW.

Required Skills & Experience

Detail‑oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Understanding of Agile SW development and testing processes.

Familiarity with key acquisition policy and best practices governing SW testing.

Familiarity with key Agile SW management and test tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Major may be in systems, software, computer science, computer engineering, electrical, electronic, mechanical engineering, or related field.

At least 12 years of related direct experience, including:

Direct experience working with user representatives, and Army and Joint programs to develop and execute interoperability testing between systems.

Direct experience with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance software systems.

Direct experience in design, integration, configuration, and analysis of complex software systems, military electronics, computer networking, and digital and graphic display systems, including DoD System Engineering processes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required. Major may be in systems, software, computer science, computer engineering, electrical, electronic, mechanical engineering, or related field.

Required Clearance

Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Ability to flex for a Secret clearance if the candidate meets other criteria.

Travel Less than 10% travel; may include continental United States and overseas locations.

Work Environment The position may be performed in various locations: commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
