Staff Accountant – Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV)
Description Responsible for properly performing financial activities related to the Accounting activities of the Finance Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls.
Summary Assist outside auditors when necessary and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries, balance sheet accounts, and reconciliations.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Analyze and review balance sheet accounts to assure accuracy in the GL and ensure variances are accounted for.
Assist outside auditors when necessary.
Prepare adjusting entries for the next month to correct any variances.
Receive checks and deposits for payments.
Prepare monthly schedules for various balance sheet reconciliations and amortizations.
Complete monthly reconciliation of all asset and liability accounts.
Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
3 years of accounting experience.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work with other department personnel, co‑workers, and management.
Pleasant personality, team oriented, and enjoys working with and assisting people.
Advanced computer skills.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Degree in Accounting or formal accounting education preferred.
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
Obtain and maintain all required work cards.
Verify right to work in the United States.
Proficient in BlackLine or other balance sheet reconciliation software.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally push and/or pull up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels.
Occasional standing and walking.
Frequent sitting and working on a computer.
Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
