Duties

You will serve as an Tomahawk Cruise Missile Planning Analyst in the Training, Standardization and Evaluation Department (N7) Cruise Missile Support Activity, Atlantic (CMSA LANT), located in the Naval Support Activity, Norfolk, VA.

You will independently conduct target analysis, aim point development, and weapons effect calculations (weaponeering) for the five new variants of advanced TLAM and HSW missions.

You will produce highly precise and accurately mensurated products used in advanced TLAM and HSW mission planning to ensure a high probability of success can be achieved for both types of weapons and missions.

You will use subjective analysis to produce a variety of photogrammetric products.

You will provide technical expertise to support Program Management Activity (PMA) weapon system development efforts.

You will serve the Naval Aviation Warfare Development Center (NAWDC) as a direct representative ensuring policies and procedures set forth in the Navy’s TCM program are adhered to and executed within the guidelines.

You will interprets combatant commander requirements.

You will provide advanced technical TLAM and HSW system targeting inputs to Joint Staff targeting and geopositioning publications.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

This position requires Overtime, Shift, Weekend, Holiday Work/Rotating Shifts.
