Position Overview The Recruiter at GCS-SIGAL will lead full-cycle recruiting for construction field and office positions, including project managers, project engineers, superintendents, skilled trades, and support roles. This role works closely with project executives, operations leaders, and HR to anticipate workforce needs, attract qualified talent, and support the company’s growth and project delivery goals. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced, relationship-driven nature of the construction industry and is comfortable balancing urgent project needs with longer-term pipeline development.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake through offer acceptance

Partner closely with operations, project leadership, and HR to understand staffing needs, timelines, and project requirements

Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, referrals, direct outreach, networking, career fairs, and industry events

Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate in-person or virtual interviews

Assess candidates’ technical qualifications, cultural alignment, and long-term potential within the organization

Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a professional and responsive candidate experience

Provide timely communication and feedback to both candidates and hiring managers

Support offer development and negotiations in collaboration with HR and leadership

Support workforce planning initiatives based on upcoming projects and forecasted labor needs

Build and maintain pipelines for recurring roles (e.g., project engineers, interns, superintendents)

Track and analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Represent GCS-SIGAL at career fairs, university recruiting events, and industry networking functions

Promote the company’s culture, values, and career growth opportunities

Assist with internship and early-career recruiting programs

Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)

Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment laws and company policies

Support business development initiatives as needed, including participation in industry events and other efforts that advance company growth

Support HR initiatives as needed, including involvement in projects and programs that enhance organizational effectiveness

Experience / Education

BS degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Construction Management or a related field

5-7 years’ experience in recruitment within the Construction (or related) industry

Experience with full-cycle recruitment for construction roles, from requisition intake through offer acceptance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of construction roles, terminology, and project environments

Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills

Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with ATS platforms, job boards, and LinkedIn Recruiter

High attention to detail and strong follow-through
