Job Summary
Provides operational support for Truist’s most sophisticated portfolio of agented syndicated deals as well as bilateral and participated deals originated across multiple business lines. This role functions as the primary point of contact across various internal and external business partners (Borrowers, Lenders, Internal and External Counsel, Credit Risk, Portfolio and Relationship Management Teams, etc.) for the execution and closing of complex loan transactions. It ensures high‑quality service for all internal and external clients while managing the closing framework and associated risks within the supported portfolios for a large, complex banking organization. Portfolios supported include ASG, ABL, CIB, CCB, Dealer Finance, CRE, and Wealth products with Loan IQ experience and syndication loan expertise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support all lines of business with the execution and closing of complex syndicated loan transactions, including new deals, refinancing, and amendments while maintaining an individual pipeline of active syndicated loan transactions. Collect and review legal documentation for operational feasibility, optimal execution mechanics, and mitigation of operational risk; execute best practices and act as the control, risk mitigation, and escalation point of contact. Review internal loan‑related spreadsheets for accuracy and completeness and advise on funding mechanics and operational requirements. Balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Liaise and coordinate pre‑closing requirements with internal and external clients (Credit Risk, Operations, Legal, Trade Settlements, Borrowers, Lenders). Assist with ad‑hoc inquiries from Borrowers, Lenders, and Arrangers regarding the closing process and ongoing maintenance of the deal; participate and schedule internal conference calls to ensure pre‑closing requirements have been met and resolve or escalate outstanding issues. Identify areas of improvement to support process enhancement and efficiency. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Extremely detail oriented with a proven track record of accuracy. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of complex lending systems such as AFS Vision, Loan IQ, SyndTrak, ClearPar, Loan IQ reporting tools, IBM Cognos, etc. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and operate successfully in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Ability to navigate and interpret complex legal documentation, loan funding mechanics, and funds flows. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications
3+ years’ work experience supporting syndicated loan operations. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the syndicated loan market. 3+ years’ relevant work experience within Loan IQ. Benefits
