Overview:

The Pharmacy Quality Specialist is responsible for performing various types of audits, acting as a subject matter expert, creating documentation, and reporting for operational quality.

Responsibilities

Conduct call audits for Pharmacy Tech and Pharmacist team members.

Provide feedback to individuals being audited.

Perform Quality Checks (QC) audits on a percentage of dispensed prescription triage.

Conduct process audits.

Investigate adverse event and product complaints audits.

Investigate product returns.

Create and review documentation.

Assist with CAPA investigations and root cause analysis.

Act as a subject matter expert.

All other duties as assigned.

Preferences / Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.

Previous pharmacy, quality control, and assurance experience strongly preferred.

Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Client audit experience a plus.

Knowledge of specialty drug product marketplace, health insurance claims processing, and commercialization of products and working with manufacturers is a plus.

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin a plus.

Root cause analysis, CAPA, or nonconformity experience a plus.

Document control experience a plus.

Employees working onsite in a PharmaCord facility are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

This role is located on-site in Louisville, KY. PharmaCord reimburses tolls where applicable at the frequent user rate after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year).

Physical Demands, Work Schedule & Environment

Regularly required to talk or hear, sit, type, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy is required.

Close vision needed for computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Regular, predictable attendance required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.

Office/pharmacy-based position; ability to stand for extended periods of time is necessary.

Role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

Due to program training investment, candidates are expected to remain in the role for a minimum of 1 year before eligible for lateral or promotion move.

Minimal flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
