Project Coordinator – Outpatient Revenue Cycle Operations

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will provide coordination and overall administrative support for the Department of Outpatient Revenue Cycle Operations. The coordinator will work with internal and external parties to organize the components needed to complete departmental projects, develop policies and procedures, implement new processes, and monitor compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Project Support : Assist the department in the project management workflow and recommend improvements to ensure appropriate cycle times and efficiency.
Project Coordination : Provide basic to moderate coordination for project activities, develop schedules, and manage purchase/supplies requisitions, reimbursements, expense reports and related invoice payments.
Training & Support : Organize and coordinate department trainings, develop training curricula, set annual learning calendars, facilitate support groups, and support Epic employee training as needed.
Insurance Follow‑up Project Support : Gather, interpret, and manage projects for Insurance Follow‑up teams; respond to standard and ad‑hoc AR analyses; coordinate audit activities to identify trends, contract issues, and invalid denials.
Reports : Prepare status/progress reports, outline agenda, prepare presentations, and compose memos and letters; review, edit, and obtain approvals for documents.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in an academic medical center or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to meet competitive deadlines, delegate responsibilities, and multi‑task effectively.
Initiative and strong critical thinking skills.
Exceptional oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly proficient with MS Access, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Epic computer software.
Effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Salary Transparency The salary range for this role is $67,771.14 – $80,983.47 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
