Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction and Insurance Coverage Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join our plaintiff-side practice. This role is ideal for an attorney passionate about holding insurance companies accountable and handling complex construction and insurance coverage disputes. The position is plaintiff-only, representing policyholders in matters involving denied or underpaid insurance claims, and offers the opportunity to play an integral role within a collaborative litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation from case assessment and filing through discovery, motions practice, and trial.
Draft and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions to compel.
Conduct and defend depositions of fact witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives.
Manage an active caseload with a high level of independence.
Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to develop effective litigation strategies.
Communicate directly with clients, providing updates and strategic guidance.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with a focus on insurance coverage and/or construction law.
Commercial litigation experience is a plus.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Detail-oriented with strong strategic thinking abilities.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using legal technology and case management tools.
