Overview
As a Senior Application Developer, you’ll design and build software solutions for a mortgage servicing platform. This means creating applications that help manage home loans and related financial processes. You’ll use Microsoft technologies (like .NET and C#) and cloud services (primarily AWS) to develop these solutions. Your responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code for complex business applications, testing your work to ensure quality, deploying the software into production, and supporting it after launch. You’ll also document your work and collaborate with teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
Use the latest tools and techniques (.NET, .NET Core, C#, Agile Methodologies, Web Services, SQL, SSIS)
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages
Prepare software for deployment to production environments
Respond to and resolve questions and issues logged by users of a live system
Manage small projects independently and work as a team member on larger projects
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Test your code to make sure it works.
Deploy (launch) the app so people can use it.
Fix problems when users report issues.
Work on small projects alone or big ones with a team.
Required Skills
C# or .NET Core: Experience with Version 8 (Version 6 is also acceptable)
Cloud Experience: AWS – EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Containers, API Gateway
SQL
Full-Stack Development: Candidates must have hands‑on experience across all layers of the application, including both front‑end and back‑end
AI Tools: Experience with AI-based coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent) is a must.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
7+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum is helpful
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Knowledge of design patterns, refactoring and unit testing
Experience with Linux and open source software is a plus
AWS Environment – EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Containers, API Gateway experience highly preferred
Financial services experience, especially related to mortgages and mortgage backed securities, is desirable
AI Co-pilot or equivalent AI coding experience
Experience Level Expert Level
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westlake Village, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $67.00 – $72.11/hr.
