Base pay range \$70,000.00/hr - \$75,000.00/hr

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university
1–2 years of related experience
Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Kansas
Current certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
Licensed by the State of Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board as a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Licensed Masters Addiction Counselor (LMAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC)
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed by the State of Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board as a Master’s Level License (LMLP, LMFT, LMSW, LPC); dual licensed is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Federal and state regulations for residential SUD treatment facilities
Policies and procedures related to residential care, client rights, and grievance processes
Documentation, treatment planning, and EHR systems
Leading and managing residential staff, including counselors, techs, and other support staff
Strong leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Effective oral and written communication skills to distribute unbiased, easily understood information to diverse audiences
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees and patients
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Position Summary This position is responsible for the oversight of residential counseling staff and clinical programming. The Director of Residential Services will supervise both the residential techs and nurses to ensure the day‑to‑day operations of the residential unit meet quality standards. The Director of Residential Services will ensure that residential patients are receiving quality therapeutic services.
Essential Job Functions
Provide oversight and weekly supervision to residential counseling staff
Ensure residential documentation is completed timely and accurately
Provide weekly supervision and oversight to Residential Nurse
Ensure the residential department is in compliance with KDADS and CARF standards
Maintain patient files in a site‑visit‑ready manner
Direct and coordinate activities of practicum students
Provide counseling to patients individually and in a group setting
Assist detox patients in developing discharge plans and follow‑up services
Establish and maintain work schedules of residential counseling staff
Work with Residential Nurse to manage the waiting list for patients
Work with Residential Nurse to maintain a budgeted census
Maintain contact on a regular basis with referral sources
Create training schedules for new counseling staff
Take admission calls when Residential Nurse is unavailable or out of the office
Provide oversight of patients’ schedules and group activities
Understand and implement all Tap 21 Addiction Counseling Competencies
Comply with all policies and procedures related to clinical licensure
Review documentation regularly to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Work 8‑hour days, based on an 8‑hour day
Occasionally: 25–2.5 hrs daily
Frequently: 2.5–5.5 hrs daily
Continuously: 5.5–8 hrs daily
Typical tasks include sitting, standing, lifting
Stress level: low, medium, high, extremely high
PHI Access Level Level 2 – This position will have regular access to patient records, but not to employee medical information other than his/her own.
Work Environment On‑site: office environment with a moderate noise level.
