Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $17.45 - $22.55 (Step 1 to maximum step; starting pay at Step 1).

Job Summary The Meat Clerk delivers G.O.A.T. (Greet, Observe, Assist, Thank) service to customers, providing excellent service by assisting shoppers with meat selections, ensuring freshness, stock, and proper display; performing cutting, trimming, packaging, labeling following food safety standards; assisting inventory, maintaining a clean area, and contributing to a positive shopping experience.
Job Responsibilities
Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor (G.O.A.T.).
Assist customers with purchases, slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, etc.
Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat department products in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Maintain proper supply of products in cases and packaged deli through proper rotation and display per company standards.
Clean up wrapping, scaling, and production equipment per cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Adhere to safety, health regulations, weight and measures regulations, and company recipes.
Grind meat and prepare specialty items such as kabobs, marinated cuts, and custom orders.
Handle knives, saws, grinders, and other equipment safely.
Order products and supplies; inventory products and supplies as assigned.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experience.
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum age 18 years.
High school diploma preferred but not required.
Valid Food Handler / Health Card.
Ability to work in fast‑paced environment, multi‑task.
Friendly, helpful attitude focusing on customer satisfaction.
Team player with good attitude, follows direction.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic math and reading skills for pricing and inventory.
Good problem‑solving and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Ability to operate meat processing equipment safely.
Available for flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, holidays.
Maintain integrity, adhere to store policies, safety standards, and collective bargaining agreement.
