Tax Manager Responsibilities
Perform tax returns for individuals, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, partnerships, trusts, and nonprofit organizations
Perform technical tax review of tax returns of staff accountants
Independently research tax issues
Follow tax compliance laws and discuss with clients as needed
Oversee a team of highly motivated staff / train staff
Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of clients
Review tax returns prepared by staff
Qualifications
CPA license required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
At least five years of experience in Public Accounting
Customer-centric with excellent relationship and adaptability skills
Detailed, well-organized, with strong communication skills
Exhibits a strong team-player attitude in helping co-workers succeed
Results-oriented with a high level of integrity and dependability
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment while making decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
High stress tolerance — thrives in a high-pressure environment
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, strong problem solving & prioritization skills
