STAFF ACCOUNTANT
to provide support in the Metro Detroit area. You will work as part of the accounting team accomplishing daily and monthly activities. POSITION TYPE:
Full time. 100% in office. Contract-to-Direct Hire. PAY : $70,000 - $75,000 annual plus PTO and benefits Requirements of the Staff Accountant: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 3-5 years of experience. Experience in the medical / health care industry needed. Experience supporting a multi-party company entity and processing intercompany transactions needed. Direct Accounting or Bookkeeping experience with general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable that include cash management. Organized and dependable person. Technical skills needed: MS Office Suite, Intermediate to advanced Excel, and QuickBooks. Duties of the Staff Accountant: Perform day-to-day accounting activities related to AP, AR, and Cash. Manage intercompany transactions for multiple entities. Review, code, enter and process vendor invoices for payment. Reconcile vendor statements. Prepare bank deposits. Post and reconcile cash received. Resolve collection issues. Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations. Provide support for the month end close process. Support various audits such as workers compensation and complete various government required reports. Support the payment of quarterly taxes. Prepare 1099’s. Track the organizations fixed assets.
