What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Lead and define system requirements for Member Benefits and Provider Reimbursement payment systems
Identify, manage, and document the status of open issues and develop reports to analyze data for issue resolution
Plan and implement new software releases, including testing and training sessions
Serve as a liaison between IT and business areas to translate IT specifications into business requirements
Conduct audits of system configurations to ensure accuracy and minimize fraud and overpayment risks
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum of three (3) years of health plan experience, including two (2) years of configuration or clinical editing software experience
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Visio
Understanding of DRG and APC reimbursement methods, as well as CPT, HCPCs, and ICD-CM Codes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Exposure to Facets software
Certified Medical Coder (CPC) certification
Broad understanding of business considerations and functionality within healthcare
Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare systems
