Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse to support a specialized pediatric oncology unit in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical skills, emotional intelligence, and experience caring for pediatric patients undergoing cancer treatment and related therapies.
Requirements
Minimum of
2 years of recent Pediatric Oncology experience
(required)
Strong pediatric assessment and medication administration skills
Ability to support patients and families through complex and sensitive care plans
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric oncology patients
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications per protocol
Monitor patient responses and manage side effects of treatment
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care expectations
Collaborate with physicians, oncology teams, and support services
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards
