Scrum Master – Data & Analytics Projects
Location:
Local to Blaine, MN (hybrid mode)
Overview We are seeking an experienced
Scrum Master
with a strong background in
data, analytics, and cloud‑based data platforms . The ideal candidate excels at guiding cross‑functional teams, removing impediments, and enabling high‑quality delivery of data products such as pipelines, dashboards, models, and machine learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach teams on Agile principles, ensuring consistent adoption of Scrum best practices.
Remove blockers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Data Project Leadership
Partner with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Product Owners to deliver data‑driven solutions.
Support the development of data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data models, and analytics dashboards.
Ensure data requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and aligned with business goals.
Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Product Collaboration
Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog.
Translate business needs into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Provide visibility into team progress, risks, and dependencies.
Process Optimization
Identify and implement improvements to Agile processes, team velocity, and delivery quality.
Promote metrics‑driven decision‑making using burndown charts, velocity trends, and team performance indicators.
Required Skills & Experience
4–8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead.
Hands‑on experience supporting data, analytics, or cloud data platform projects.
Strong understanding of data concepts: ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lakes, SQL, BI tools, and data governance.
Proven ability to work with cross‑functional technical teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification: CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
Background in healthcare.
