Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Unit Coordinator at St. Vincent, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you will be part of a patient care team that provides exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the center of all we do. Our Unit Coordinators are often the eyes and ears of the direct patient care providers. Your excellent communication and teamwork skills play an important role in the success of this position. In this role, you are often the conduit between our patients, their families, and our care teams.
Assist with call light response
Answers the telephone promptly and courteously
Relays all communication accurately and promptly
Ensures written or faxed orders are entered with accuracy
Assist patient care providers, as needed
Job Requirements
High School Diploma/GED Required
One year of work experience as a Unit Coordinator, or equivalent
Strong clerical skills are needed for this role
Need to understand basic medical terminology
