Responsibilities
Design complex end‑to‑end solutions merging Cognite flagship products with the customer’s portfolio for both new and existing clients.
Act as a technical subject matter expert across the professional and managed services catalog from discovery through implementation.
Work closely with sales, delivery teams, data scientists, and customers to map technical requirements and architect robust, familiar solutions.
Identify opportunities for new products and features, and work with product managers and tech leads to continuously improve Cognite’s SaaS offering.
Ensure data visualisation and transformation technologies are selected and applied correctly (e.g., Power BI, Grafana, Plotly Dash, Databricks, Azure, GCP, AWS).
Model and contextualise data efficiently in Cognite Data Fusion (graph and relational).
Design integration and data models using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs.
Set clear operational responsibility and support agreements for delivered solutions.
Maintain quality criteria (CI/CD, logging, security), operational monitoring, logging, and reporting.
Serve as a credible advisor to customers and partners on Cognite Data Fusion.
Qualifications
7+ years experience as an application/data/solution/enterprise architect.
2+ years of experience from the heavy asset industry (Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals).
Experience with operational data and customer business drivers in the heavy asset industry.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
Consulting experience that allows confident negotiation of requirements with customers and colleagues.
Experience with enterprise integration, customer relationships, or IT integration design.
Data and analytics project experience, and ability to confidently lead an implementation.
Broad technical experience with data and analytics stacks.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and enterprise analytics stacks (Power BI or similar).
Familiarity with SQL and big data tooling (e.g., Apache Spark ecosystem).
Experience with a public cloud (preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure), including network security concepts, identity providers, and application hosting.
Experience with operations, including support and change control, and architecting centralized monitoring, logging, and reporting.
DevOps mindset, with experience with Git, CI/CD, deployment environments.
Technical background, willing and able to dive into code for advanced topics when needed.
Architectural skills dealing with data modeling and infrastructure solutions, such as classical data warehousing and big data architectures.
