This is a position within the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic weapon system program that directly supports critical weapons fielding support for the nation. In this role you will be tasked with GN&C analysis, modelling and simulation work associated with advance hypersonic missile weapon design while supporting NGC Test Bed Hardware testing for CPS test flight and deployment campaigns. What You Will Be Doing
Develop the high‑fidelity flight simulation software used to verify mission capabilities Provide software integration and verification support for CPS flight test campaign Provide weapon system testing support and test hardware configuration development Execute performance analysis for the weapon system Perform design and analysis of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms as it pertains to flight and hardware testing Successful applicants generally have at least 1 year of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline emphasizing control system design and analysis. This position requires candidates be willing to work Full‑time Onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Basic Qualifications
Skill Requirements:
Experience with control system design, simulation, or analysis for Aerospace engineering applications. Experience with simulation and programming tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, C, Fortran, Python. Experience in hardware test environments; Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop, testbeds, or hybrid simulation/hardware integrated environments. Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen. Qualified applicants must possess at minimum a currently Active Secret security clearance to be considered. Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program. Desired skills
GN&C background including algorithm/software development, analysis, simulation and test related to missile or spacecraft systems. Experience applying controls and/or dynamics principals to hardware system design or analysis. Missile trajectory simulation experience. Experience with C and Fortran programming languages. Experience with Simulink and autocode algorithm integration. Experience in CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management and DevOps tools such as git, gitlab, Jenkins.
