Software Asset Manager (SAM Pro)
Role Type:
W2 contract, No C2C
Work Authorization:
USC / GC candidates only.
Schedule:
Remote for first year, then Hybrid at corporate locations.
Location:
Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; additional: Amarillo, TX; Carlsbad, Hobbs, NM; Eau Claire, La Crosse, WI; Detroit, MI; Energy, IL.
W2 Contract:
12 months, possibility to convert to FTE.
Key Skills:
5-7 years of Software Asset Management experience
At least 1 year of SAMPro
At least 2 years of SAP
Job Summary:
The IT Solutions Analyst-SAM will assist with the deployment/implementation of SAMPro as the client moves its software asset management functions to ServiceNow. Significant time will be devoted to populating entitlement information, validating reporting relative to entitlements, determining compliance with agreements, and resolving discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of ServiceNow SAMPro, moving from FNMS to SAMPro.
Add entitlement information to SAMPro.
Validate deployment metrics and resolve discrepancies.
Determine compliance by comparing entitlements to deployments.
Execute communications and processes necessary to address compliance issues and other discrepancies.
Develop or improve integrations with other systems and processes within the environment.
Build strong partnership with the SAM team, partners, and stakeholders across the organization as SAMPro is deployed.
Complete assigned tasks on time and in alignment with project deliverables.
Assist with process workflows related to software renewals purchasing.
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience using ServiceNow SAM Pro.
5+ years of experience utilizing software asset management tools.
2+ years of experience using SAP.
Strong understanding of software licensing for major vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe).
Experience with ITAM/SAM tools and data normalization.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
ITIL and/or CSAM certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with software discovery tools and integrations.
Ability to interpret and explain complex licensing terms.
Project management experience for SAM initiatives.
Knowledge of cloud licensing (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS models).
