Infosys is seeking an Aerospace Stress Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module, leading validation for all types of testing, and supporting implementation, transition, and warranty activities.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KS, or be willing to relocate to the area.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
At least 4 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer.
Comprehensive knowledge of stress analysis of aero structures, nacelle, and EBU systems.
Experience performing static, fatigue, and dynamic stress analysis for aero structures.
Experience using classical hand calculation approaches to analyze both primary and secondary structures.
Experience providing technical solutions from conceptual to detailed design stage.
Use of finite element methods for load extraction and solving complex engineering problems.
Participation in review meetings with client, customer, and suppliers.
Experience in engineering stress report generation and review.
Authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship. Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in metallic and composite structural analysis.
Experience in load, stress calculations, and preparing technical reports.
Experience with finite element analysis tools (e.g., Nastran, Patran).
Experience in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance calculations.
Experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP.
Experience with MRB and SRM.
Experience with CATIA V5, Enovia.
Interaction with customers; preparing scope of work and laying out execution methodology to ensure project delivery meets customer requirements.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
