About the Position Entity: Newport News Shipbuilding Shift: 1st Travel: 10%–25% of the time US Citizenship Required Position: Full‑time Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
Supervise, assign, coordinate, and evaluate semi‑skilled and skilled trade personnel based on skill, experience, and job knowledge.
Train employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
Recommend training programs to enhance employee skill and productivity and assist in developing training procedures.
Translate broad strategies into actionable plans and ensure staff are trained to execute them.
Ensure compliance with all technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings, procedures, and specifications.
Oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company.
Monitor job and budget performance for all shifts.
Requirements
BS or Apprenticeship + 4 years production supervisory experience, or
Non‑BS/Non‑Apprentice with 6 years combined production supervisory experience and/or CS experience. \ul>
