Torch Technologies is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator/Network Administrator to join a team to assist the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

Responsibilities

Serve as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of the unit’s computer networks and provide technical assistance, training, and support to customers.

Apply computer hardware and software expertise to establish and maintain Government program‑specific IT capability in accordance with Government instructions, policies and procedures.

Serve as the first point of contact for resolving or escalating issues relating to hardware, software, network, and other computer end‑user problems.

Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software; run diagnostics, isolate problems, determine solutions and implement them.

Work in an office setting that includes sedentary physical effort; may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Perform COMSEC duties.

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma plus 12 years of applicable experience or an Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years relevant experience.

Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance within 9 months of job start.

Require the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01‑M (Security+).

Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 10 years of systems administration experience preferred.

Familiarity/proficiency with COMSEC Manager duties; Cisco network principles, concepts, equipment and tools sufficient to assist in planning and maintaining network services.

Knowledge of network standards and equipment sufficient to install, configure, and troubleshoot components such as Cisco routers, switches, and servers.

Experience with information technology hardware and software products especially Linux/RHEL, and peripherals (printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners).

Customer service support skills; customer training that includes demonstrations of hardware/software; documentation development; database development, design, implementation, and maintenance.

Network operations and administration; application development, design and implementation; document scanning and retrieval; telecommunications implementation and training (VTC, telephone, voicemail).

A Top Secret clearance is preferable.
