SAIC is seeking an Enterprise Engineering and Verification Environment (EEVE) Lab Manager for our customer site. The role is 100% on‑site in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities

Networking & Cybersecurity

Design, implement, and manage lab network configurations (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, etc.)

Apply cybersecurity best practices within the lab environment, including segmentation, access controls, and secure protocols

Monitor and respond to security events or vulnerabilities within lab systems

Maintain and document lab network topology and security architecture

Enterprise IT Appliances & Configurations

Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise‑grade IT appliances in a lab setting (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, switches, routers)

Manage integration of appliances into test environments for functional and performance validation

Ensure lab systems and appliances reflect realistic enterprise configurations

Operating Systems

Install, configure, and maintain various OS environments including Windows, Linux, and macOS

Build and manage custom OS images for lab deployments

Apply updates, manage OS‑level security settings, and perform system troubleshooting

Virtualization

Deploy and administer virtual infrastructure using VMware, Hyper‑V, or equivalent platforms

Create and manage virtual machines and networks to support diverse test scenarios

Maintain snapshots, templates, and virtual lab documentation

Optimize virtual resources for performance and scalability

Lab Management Duties

Manage lab inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and consumables

Schedule lab usage and coordinate with teams on test priorities

Maintain accurate lab documentation, including configurations, procedures, and test records

Ensure lab compliance with organizational security and operational policies

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more of experience.

Strong technical foundation in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.

Proficiency in designing and managing network configurations (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).

Experience applying cybersecurity best practices within an IT environment.

Ability to deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise‑grade IT appliances.

Skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining various OS environments (Windows, Linux, macOS).

Familiarity with deploying and administering virtual infrastructure using VMware, Hyper‑V, or equivalent platforms.

Competence in managing lab inventory, scheduling, and documentation.

Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Desired Skills

Experience in similar Federal labs is highly desirable.

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell scripting).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating labs into development workflows.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent test environments and support diverse user needs.

Strong communication skills for coordination across teams and reporting to leadership.
