Job Description
Strong understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol
Design, develop and test Wi‑Fi software features for Comcast Wi‑Fi gateway/extender products
Experience and knowledge of IEEE802.11/Wi‑Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax
Work with vendors to integrate Wi‑Fi chipset solutions
Provide technical assistance to other teams to troubleshoot customer Wi‑Fi issues
Develop new Wi‑Fi features on the RDKB platform
Hands‑on experience with C/C++ programming
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and working in Linux environments
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP
Strong problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of source‑control tools such as Git and GitHub
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement RDKB features, bug fixes and troubleshoot issues
Coordinate with offshore team members
Present weekly status reports to stakeholders
Mandatory Skills & Proficiencies
Embedded software development using C/C++
Understanding of RDKB
Understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
