Position Summary Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of crew workers to build rotors, erect base and mid‑sections, erect full turbines, and offload turbine components while meeting production schedule timelines.
Responsibilities
Interpret specifications and read blueprints.
Assist in layout of work for crew.
Pre‑plan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet job schedule.
Monitor quality control of craft work.
Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials.
Complete all project‑related reports including Daily Reports, Safety Reports, ESRs, Inspection Reports, etc.
Coordinate equipment needs and ensure operators and maintenance are timely.
Support jobsite superintendent in coordinating project activities.
Perform related trade work as required.
Travel to different jobsites as needed.
Implement better production methods to strengthen best practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Quality & Safety
Monitor crew installation for quality issues.
Ensure work areas meet quality standards.
Improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Promote Company safety policies and train crew members in safe work practices.
Audit safe work practices and ensure proper PPE.
Supervisory
Assist HR and superintendent by interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.
Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers.
Conduct performance reviews of crewmen and manage up to six or more employees.
Train and mentor new workers.
Qualifications
4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical skills for unit weight measurement and volume calculations.
Common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Maintain strong relationships with team members and supervisor.
Physical Demands
Work up to 12‑hour shifts, varying temperatures and outside conditions.
Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs; stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb.
Stamina for repetitive tasks and continuous operation for several hour intervals.
Work at heights with required fall‑protection equipment.
Use PPE and meet safety equipment requirements.
Hours & Travel Full‑time position, typically 50 hours per week, subject to project requirements. Travel required up to 90%. Must be present on the project site location and travel to residence of record as needed.
