Shift Supervisor Trainee, CVS Health
Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry‑level, short‑term position that prepares an employee to perform a higher‑level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee completes basic operations and management skills training while learning key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successful completion, trainees may be considered for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions.
Essential Functions
Management: work effectively with store management and store crews.
Supervise the store’s crew by assigning, directing, and following up on all activities.
Communicate information to and from store management and crews.
Customer Service: assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints; promote the CVS customer service culture; handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy; maintain customer/patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills.
Advanced communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
Time Type Full time
Pay Range $18.50 - $28.00 per hour
