Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Permanent Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Ashtabula, OH. Permanent Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Position Type: Full-Time Specialty: Oncology/Hematology Location: Ashtabula, OH Rate: Open & Negotiable Shift: Full-time negotiable schedule Start Date: To be discussed End Date: Ongoing Position Details: • Patient Population: 50% adult, 50% geriatric • Setting: Outpatient practice with inpatient responsibilities • Responsibilities: o Manage 15-20 outpatient patients and 3-5 inpatient hospital patients per day. o Perform procedures such as management of VAD/CV catheters, FNA/Biopsy, and chemotherapy (intrathecal, intraperitoneal). o Participate in Tumor Board meetings and Blood Bank activities. o Order tests, images, and prescribe medications as part of the treatment plan. • Required Procedures: Management of VAD/CV Catheters, FNA/Biopsy, Chemotherapy - Intrathecal, Chemotherapy - Intracavitary, and Intrapleural/Peritoneal. • EMR System: EPIC • Support Staff: 2 physicians in the practice • Days Per Month: 20-22 days • On-Call/Weekends: 10 days per month, including some weekends. Submission Requirements: • Board Certified NP/PA Required • OH License (or willing to obtain) Required • BLS, ACLS (or willing to obtain) Required • Procedures: Experience with the management of VAD/CV Catheters, FNA/Biopsy, Chemotherapy procedures Required • Experience: At least 1 year of Hem/Onc NP clinical employment experience in Hem/Onc-specific clinic/hospital setting (NOT including RN, training, or general practice/IM/FM experience) Required • Location: Must live within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate Required • Visa Support: Specify if J1 or H1B visa support is needed.
