What You Will Do Work closely with circuit design engineers and engineers of all disciplines to implement, draw, and layout printed wiring boards using tools such as Mentor Xpedition and BluePrint. Responsible for PCB designs from conception to manufacturing, including creation of PCB, CCA, and schematic drawings for suppliers. Perform schematic capture, component placement, routing of traces, and generation of Gerber/ODB++ files. Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies BluePrint. Design rigid, flex, and rigid‑flex assemblies. Handle full designs, re‑spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside the discipline. Interface daily with electrical, mechanical, components, test, and producibility engineering to capture overall design requirements for cost, cycle time, and producibility.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of five (5) years experience with the electrical engineering design process
Experience with PCB or CCA manufacturing principles that affect circuitry and component layout
Experience with layout of Rigid, Flex, or Rigid‑Flex boards
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance – DoD Secret
U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for clearance)
Qualifications We Prefer
Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) experience
Technical PCB design skills using Siemens design toolset including Xpedition Layout tool suite
Experience with BluePrint to create complex PCB and CCA drawings
Experience with schematic capture, placement, routing, auto‑router, constraint manager, and library tools
Export manufacturing data in Gerber and ODB++ formats
Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rule sets, or other Design Rule Checking software
Experience with RF circuitry, board layout, and filter knowledge
