Litigation Associate Attorney – Health & Life Sciences
Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Health & Life Sciences litigation practice in our St. Louis office. This position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized trial team on sophisticated, high‑stakes litigation matters.
About The Role Due to the continued growth of our Health & Life Sciences practice, we are looking for an associate with 4–7 years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability, mass torts, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other complex defense litigation. In this role, you will gain hands‑on trial experience working with a nationally recognized trial team that defends leading life sciences and healthcare companies in some of the most challenging venues nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
Take and defend depositions
Participate in all stages of litigation and trial preparation, including discovery, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy
Assist in developing case strategy and client counseling
Handle court appearances and argue motions as needed
Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
4–7 years of litigation experience, preferably in health and life sciences, product liability, mass torts, class actions, or complex defense litigation
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing discovery
Trial experience or a strong interest in trial work is a plus
Admitted to practice in Missouri (Illinois admission is a plus but not required)
