Job Overview OSINT Analysts are responsible for conducting advanced collection, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED), reporting, and targeting using publicly available and commercially available data sources. OSINT Analysts interface with the Intelligence Community to produce intelligence assessments in support of special operations, targeting, HUMINT and exploitation operations, cyber operations, and indications and warnings threat estimates. OSINT Analysts fuse publicly available and commercially available information for multi-intelligence assessments.

Essential Functions

Research, develop, and present PAI intelligence products at the tactical and operational level.

Research emerging open source and social media applications and collaborate with industry and academia subject matter experts to identify new and emerging social network analysis methodologies, techniques, and analytical tools.

Identify and support the collection of open-source data to support multi-intelligence fusion analysis in a collaborative environment.

Interface with other intelligence organizations to fully prepare teams for exploitation of enemy personnel and prepare post-screening analytical products and assessments supporting targeting efforts and threat analysis.

Produce intelligence assessments and products in support of deployed SOF Task Forces to enable the F3EAD targeting cycle.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Competencies

Strong proficiency in the current suite of all-source intelligence tools, databases, and repositories.

Strong proficiency in OSINT/PAI tools, databases, and repositories, as well as OSINT research and methodology.

Understanding of OSINT/PAI authorities, regulations, and policy.

Strong written communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Strong verbal briefing skills, able to brief at the O4/GS13 level or above.

Education / Certifications

High School Diploma required.

DOD, DoS, DHS, or equivalent training/course completion preferred.

Experience

Minimum of six (6) years of total experience as an intelligence analyst within the DoD or the Intelligence Community.

Minimum of two (2) years of specific experience in OSINT/PAI exploitation, analysis, and reporting. Prior experience providing OSINT analytic support to special operations is preferred. (Note: Experience with traditional/legacy OSINT duties such as reviewing, translating, and/or reporting on feeds from domestic or foreign PAI, social media, or news sources will not be considered equivalent experience.)

In-depth knowledge of SOF and/or CT intelligence experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit and reach to use computers and other office equipment. Must be medically able to deploy to foreign advanced bases, wear body armor, helmet and other PPE when required, and able to run, walk, crawl moderate distances.

Security Clearance

Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance.

U.S. Citizenship required.
