Role – Observability Engineer ( Hybrid) Duration — 12 month Location – Nashville, TN (Required local profile with ID Proof ) Role Summary The Observability Engineer is responsible for deploying and managing Dynatrace to deliver full-stack observability across applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. This role focuses on migrating environments from AppDynamics and Splunk to Dynatrace while building dashboards, alerts, DQL, and SLOs to proactively monitor system health. The engineer will work closely with development, operations, and SRE teams to instrument services, analyze telemetry, and optimize system reliability.

Responsibilities

Deploy and manage Dynatrace to deliver full-stack observability across cloud and on-premise platforms.

Execute “hands-on-keyboard” migration tasks from AppDynamics and Splunk to Dynatrace.

Design and implement dashboards, alerting mechanisms, DQL (Dynatrace Query Language), and SLOs.

Proactively monitor system health and detect performance issues to support incident resolution.

Instrument services and analyze telemetry data to optimize system performance.

Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to integrate observability into modern workflows.

Required Skills

Dynatrace : Expert-level hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and administration.

AppDynamics (AppD) : 2–4 years of experience (Expert level) for migration purposes.

Splunk : Hands-on experience designing and implementing monitoring solutions.

Operating Systems : Extensive hands-on experience with underlying OS environments.

Education : Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.

Deployment automation.
