1. Candidates who meet the following criteria may apply for the competition: Academic title – not applicable (n/a) Academic degree – not applicable (n/a) Professional title: Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Psychology specialisation - not applicable (n/a) full right to practise the profession / applies to professions for which specific regulations require such a right / good command of English at a level sufficient to conduct classes, good command of Polish, candidates who have submitted a statement that employment at the Medical University of Wrocław will be their primary place of work within the meaning of the Act, and meeting the requirements of Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668), i.e.:

have full legal capacity, have full public rights, have not been convicted of an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal offence, have not been punished with disciplinary measures involving permanent or temporary deprivation of the right to practise as an academic teacher or expulsion from work at a university with a ban on working at universities for a period of 6 months to 5 years, have the qualifications specified in the Act and the University Statutes.

2. Candidates entering the competition shall submit the following documents: competition application form, documents confirming that the above competition criteria have been met, certificate of average grades from the period of study (required for assistant, lecturer, teacher, and instructor positions), list of scientific publications with information including the scoring established by the Main Library of Wroclaw Medical University, information on previous scientific achievements, information on any teaching activities carried out, presentation of certificates and documentation enabling the acquisition of points according to the point criteria adopted at the university, copies of employment certificates and a certificate of current employment (if applicable), possibly a certificate of the duration of doctoral studies (if applicable), statements specified in the Competition Regulations. Deadline for submission of documents: 30 calendar days from the date of the announcement, i.e. until 09 January 2026. Failure to submit a complete set of documents within the deadline will be the basis for the rejection of the candidacy of the person concerned without a request to complete the documentation. The competition shall be resolved no later than 4 months from its announcement. Wroclaw Medical University – does not provide accommodation. Information regarding the processing of personal data of candidates for the position of academic teacher at the Medical University of Wrocław In accordance with art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as GDPR), we inform you that: 1. The administrator of your personal data is Wroclaw Medical University with its registered office at Wybrzeże Pasteura street 1, 50-367 Wrocław, represented by the Rector. 2. Data Protection Officer acts on behalf of the Administrator in all matters concerning the processing of personal data may be contacted at the following e‑mail address: iod@umw.edu.pl 3. Your personal data will be processed only for the purpose of conducting a competition for the position of the academic teacher. 4. The legal basis for processing your personal data are: a) art. 6 sec. 1 letter b of the GDPR in connection with art. 221 §1 points 4‑6 of the Labour Code, i.e. the necessity of processing for the purposes of conducting the competition procedure (taking action at the request of the data subject before concluding the contract), b) art. 6 sec. 1 letter c of the GDPR in connection with art. 221 §1 points 1‑3 of the Labour Code, the Law on Higher Education and Science and the Statute of the Wroclaw Medical University (i.e. the necessity of processing to fulfil the legal obligation incumbent upon the Administrator), c) art. 6 sec. 1 letter a of the GDPR, i.e. your consent in the scope of data other than indicated in points a and b mentioned above, d) art. 9 sec. 2 letter a of the GDPR, i.e. your consent in the scope of data of special categories (e.g. concerning health), if such data is provided. Providing personal data in the scope not specified by law will be treated as consent to the processing of such data. The consent in such case is voluntary and it might be revoked at any time. 5. The Administrator will not share your personal data to others, unless such obligation is put upon by the generally applicable law, in particular it concerns the information on the result of the competition with its justification will be published on Wroclaw Medical University BIP website, the minister responsible for higher education and science and the minister supervising the University. 6. The Administrator may entrust another entity, by means of agreement concluded in writing, processing of your personal data on behalf of the Administrator, in particular the entities providing and servicing software required for personal data processing. 7. The Administrator will store your personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of processing, i.e. 6 months from the date of submitting the candidate to the competition. The Administrator will delete your personal data processed on the basis of your consent prior to that time if your consent is withdrawn. 8. In line with situations, principles and in the manner specified in applicable law regulations, you remain the right to request: access to the content of your data and its rectification (Articles 15 and 16 of the GDPR), deletion of data (Article 17 of the GDPR), restriction in processing (Article 18 of the GDPR), objection to processing (Article 21 of the GDPR), data transfer (Article 20 of the GDPR) and withdrawal of your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal. 9. You have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office with its registered office at Stawki street 2, 00‑193 Warsaw – in the event of a suspicion that personal data are being processed by the Administrator in violation of the law. 10. The obligation to provide your personal data results from the applicable provisions of labour law, i.e. Article 221 of the Act of 26 June 1974 – the Labour Code and the Regulation of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy of 10 December 2018 on employee documentation, as well as the Act on Higher Education and Science and the Statute of the Wroclaw Medical University. Refusal to provision of the data will result in the inability to participate in the competition for the position of academic teacher. Providing data in the remaining scope is voluntary. 11. Your personal data are not subjected to automated decision‑making, including profiling, referred to in art. 4 point 4) of the GDPR, which means a form of automated processing of personal data, consisting in the use of personal data to assess certain personal factors of a legal person.
