Job Title: Strategic Intelligence Manager

Location: Boston/Central US

Department: Strategy & Operations

Reports To: Director, Business Strategy & Transformation

About the Role The Strategic Intelligence Manager is a key strategic contributor responsible for building the intelligence foundation that shapes the company's long‑term growth strategy. A central focus of this role is designing and maintaining comprehensive market models—including TAM/SAM/SOM frameworks, segmentation models, competitive landscapes, and trend forecasts—to guide strategic direction, investment decisions, and business planning.

Key Responsibilities Market Modeling & Strategic Insight Development

Build and own detailed market models (e.g., TAM/SAM/SOM, segmentation frameworks, future‑state market evolution models) that inform strategic direction and growth priorities.

Analyze market sizing, drivers, inhibitors, customer segments, demand patterns, and growth forecasts.

Evaluate competitive dynamics and integrate competitor movements, pricing models, and product strategies into market models.

Conduct scenario planning (e.g., product expansion, new markets, pricing changes) to assess potential strategic pathways.

Translate market modeling outputs into clear, compelling strategic insights and recommendations for leadership.

Business Review Support & Executive Material Development

Support the Director in developing quarterly and annual business review materials, integrating market and competitive intelligence into performance narratives.

Prepare high‑quality executive‑ready presentations, dashboards, and strategic briefs.

Manage data sources, templates, and models used in QBR/ABR materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Performance & Strategic Reporting

Track key business KPIs and align them with market trends and growth drivers to pinpoint emerging opportunities or risks.

Produce recurring reports, dashboards, and competitive intelligence summaries for leadership and cross‑functional partners.

Cross‑Functional Intelligence Collaboration

Partner with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Data, and Finance to gather insights that inform market models and strategic frameworks.

Serve as the connective tissue for intelligence sharing across the company, ensuring alignment on market assumptions and growth opportunities.

Support cross‑functional strategic initiatives with research, analytics, modeling, and insight generation.

Strategic Planning & Growth Analysis

Contribute to annual and multi‑year strategic planning by providing market‑driven frameworks and recommendations.

Support development of business cases, opportunity assessments, and investment prioritization.

Leverage models to highlight whitespace opportunities, expansion areas, and future market positioning options.

Qualifications Required

5‑7 years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, business analysis, management consulting, or a related analytical role.

Proven ability to design, build, and maintain market models, including TAM/SAM/SOM, segmentation models, and opportunity sizing frameworks.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to work with structured and unstructured data to produce strategic insights.

Exceptional collaboration, communication, and storytelling skills, with experience creating executive‑level presentations.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving business environment with shifting priorities.

Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Preferred

Experience in a technology or software/SaaS company.

Familiarity with SaaS economics, pricing structures, competitive intelligence, and GTM models.

Proficiency with BI and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI), CRM systems, and spreadsheet modeling.

Background in market research, forecasting, or strategic growth modeling.
