What You Will Do
Oversee daily operations of the CCCU, Emergency Department, and Monitor Techs.
Perform patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, neurological, and learning aspects.
Supervise and perform technical/clerical skills based on department competency list.
Document assessments, interventions, equipment usage, discharge plans, and inter‑department communication.
Respond to data, establish priorities, and participate in performance improvement.
Provide employee counseling in collaboration with Director/Assistant Director.
Promote leadership and management development among staff.
Coordinate activities across departments and maintain effective communication.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and monitor hospital and operational budgets.
Resolve issues affecting service delivery promptly.
Develop and implement standards of care and performance.
Represent the hospital positively in the community.
Communicate clearly in verbal and written formats.
Utilize computer‑based programs and reports to improve services.
Assess performance and set personal development goals.
Maintain a positive work environment for staff and physicians.
Ensure adequate staffing; maintain staffing plan and report variances.
Adhere to departmental budget; explain variances.
Review performance evaluations and ensure they are current.
Complete orientation and competency review for new hires.
Ensure all licensure and credential certificates are valid.
Update job descriptions per hospital policy.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Licensed in Texas.
Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
2‑5 years of management experience.
ICU experience.
Shift Full time.
