Prepare exam, treatment rooms, supplies and instruments. Prepare patients for physician visit and examination assistance as directed. Takes patient’s vital signs and records in medical chart. Understand proper function and care of special equipment. Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy and other lab tests as indicated after performance evaluation checklist completion. Maintain records, file and report patient records as directed. Assist with collections/billing procedures as needed. Use computer software to maintain office systems. Identify and respond to confidentiality issues. Identify and adapt to needs of the patient population served (age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.) and modify care accordingly. Handle other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push/pull a minimum of 5 lbs. and stand a minimum of 1 hour a day. Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent such as GED. Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and supportively with varying populations. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures. Preferred
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Licenses And Certifications Required
Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Registered Medical Assistant or National Certified Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Compensation
Minimum rate of $23.27 hourly. Compensation will be based on market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity and other non‑discriminatory factors.
